Clive Horner
Chair of Trustees
Has spent his working life in healthcare and specifically purchasing, equipment procurement and project management. His last role at HCA International was Director of Purchasing across the six London based Hospitals, with an annual expenditure of £100m. Clive has recently retired to take up a fulltime role as part of a Pastoral team in a local Church in Bromley.

Scott Kephart
Treasurer
Scott is a US Certified Public Accountant and has been in the public and corporate accounting field for over 30 years. He is currently working for an international company based in the US as the Corporate Financial Controller. He joined HHA as trustee in 2022. Outside of work he enjoys a variety of outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, and cycling along with doing home improvement projects.

Gareth Wilde
Has seven years experience on the senior management team of BMS World Mission (one of the UK’s largest Christian NGOs), with specialisms of marketing and communication. Over the years Gareth has visited and worked in many developing countries in order to fundraise and promote mission to churches. He is currently Senior Minister of Broadmead Baptist Church, East London.

Bertie Persson
Alongside a 35 year city career as a freelance programme manager within Investment Banking, Insurance and Wealth Management, Bertie has travelled extensively. With roots in New Zealand and a family in London he has balanced working life with outdoor pursuits and volunteering, joining expeditions in the developing world and in recent years visiting HHA projects in Haiti (with a team from St John’s Hampton Wick) and Uganda/South Sudan

Izzy Cumming-Bruce
Izzy has 10 years of experience in fundraising, programme design and delivery, particularly in overseas projects supporting women and girls, and people with disabilities. She works as the Development Director at WONDER Foundation and previously was the Programmes Director of Walkabout Foundation and is a past employee of HHA. She studied in Trinity College Dublin.

Hannah Bennett
Hannah Bennett works for the British Academy’s international team and is responsible for administering the Academy’s international programmes, financial monitoring and reporting on grants. She volunteered in Hope Health Action’s UK office between her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
