HHA is privileged to have a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who work to fulfill the mission of HHA.
CEO & Co-Founder
Carwyn co-founded HHA following a visit to Haiti in 2005 and has since lead the charity, including managing grants as an implementing partner on behalf of DFID, UN, USAID and other. Carwyn also sits on the board of End Poverty 2030 and HHA US.
Joined HHA in 2015 to head up our finances, following various other roles in the Finance sector. Ransford is a Chartered Certified Accountant and helps manage HHA’s day-to-day financial tasks, as well as broader strategic decisions.
Haiti Finance Development
A CIMA Fellow Accountant with extensive experience in the charity sector, both at home and abroad. Joined HHA in 2015 to oversee the development of a new Finance system at the partner hospital HHA support in Haiti.
East Africa Director
Jemina has a long history in fundraising and third sector senior management in the UK and Europe, and she has also worked as a fundraising consultant delivering growth and strategy development for small charities. Jemina has worked for a range of organisations and causes, but her specialist areas are international development and gender. Alongside working for HHA she currently heads a small international development charity delivering projects in Southern India.
Fundraising & Partnerships Manager
Suzie joined HHA in 2021 having previously been part of the fundraising team at a UK based international disaster response charity. Prior to this, she spent 12 years of her career in the corporate sector with a FTSE 250 property company. Following a visit as a volunteer to Haiti back in 2017, where she first became aware of HHA and their work, she was inspired to make the move into the charity sector. Suzie brings many years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships with international brands and has driven year on year growth for businesses. She is responsible for developing and maintaining HHA’s partnerships across the globe, building fundraising strategies and working closely with major donors.
Joined HHA in 2015 as the Fundraising Coordinator, Tim now looks after various operational and logistical matters, such as IT, shipping and procurement.
Haiti/US Country Director
Michael lives in Missouri and is the US/Haiti Country Director for Hope Health Action, traveling to Haiti multiple times a year. Outside of work he is an accomplished designer having managed his own marketing company while assisting HHA with various design projects. In addition, Michael is a freelance jazz artist/clinician and currently operates a warehouse and logistics company with his wife, Melissa.
Haiti Disability Coordinator
Brooke is a Physiotherapist from New Orleans, USA, who has joined HHA as a volunteer to manage and develop our range of disability projects in Haiti throughout 2021. Brooke loves baking, and all sorts of outdoor pursuits.
Haiti Operations Coordinator
Phil is spending a year with HHA in Haiti, managing our many operational and logistical needs. He brings with him decades of relevant experience from a long career in the Navy and various Project Management roles. Phil is a big Rugby fan and enjoys motorbike touring, but has wisely decided to put that on hold while in Haiti!
Haiti Healthcare Coordinator
Rob began volunteering with HHA in 2016 setting up the ER department in Haiti and has also visited HHA's work in Uganda multiple times. He is an emergency nurse and clinical teacher with a background in tropical diseases, now acting as our Haiti Healthcare Coordinator. Spare time in Haiti involves fixing motorbikes and bacon making!
East Africa Programme Manager
Isaac started working for HHA East Africa in 2018 as a Field Officer and has since become our Programme Manager for all HHA East Africa operations. Isaac is working towards a degree in Public Administration and Management, and is humbled to serve God through supporting persons living with disabilities. He is grateful to put smiles into their lives and to be part of the HHA family vision.
